Process

How cargo moves through Focus CFS.

Documentation starts before the vessel does. By the time a container reaches the yard, the paperwork is already moving.
Cargo arrives from the portReleased to the corridor
  1. Documentation before arrival

Cargo documentation is undertaken prior to vessel arrival, so clearance is not waiting on paperwork.

  2. Transfer from the port

Manifested cargo is transferred from the Port of Mombasa to the Focus CFS yard.

  3. Gate receipt

Cargo is received through manned entry gates, recorded, and positioned by cargo type.

  4. Verification on site

KRA, KEBS and Kenya Police carry out verification within the facility.

  5. Storage or deconsolidation

Containers are stored, or stripped into the LCL area with inventory held in the warehouse management system.

  6. Release and dispatch

Cleared cargo is released against a valid gate pass for transfer from the CFS.
