Privacy Policy

How we handle information you send us through this website.

This policy explains how Focus Container Freight Station Ltd (“Focus CFS”, “we”) handles personal information submitted through this website. It covers the website only. If you are an existing customer, the handling of information in your commercial documentation is governed by your agreement with us.

Information we collect

We collect personal information only when you choose to send it to us. That happens in three places on this site:

  • Request a Quote — your name, company, email address, telephone number, and the cargo details you provide.
  • Contact form — your name, company, email address, telephone number, subject and message.
  • Shipment enquiry — your name, company, contact details and the container or reference number you are asking about.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card details, identity document numbers or any other sensitive personal information through these forms.

How we use it

We use the information you submit for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, where it leads to business, to provide the service you have asked about. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to your enquiry.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not run third-party analytics. The map shown on our contact page is embedded from OpenStreetMap; loading it involves a request to openstreetmap.org, which is subject to that organisation’s own privacy policy.

Sharing

Enquiries submitted through this site are received by Focus CFS staff. Where handling your cargo requires it, information may be shared with the government agencies responsible for clearance — the Kenya Revenue Authority, the Kenya Bureau of Standards and the Kenya Police — and with parties you have appointed, such as your clearing agent or transporter.

Retention

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to respond to it and to meet our record-keeping obligations. If you would like your enquiry correspondence deleted, contact us using the details below and we will action it where we are not required to retain it.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS, and information submitted through its forms is transmitted encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information sent to us.
