Who we are

An established handler of cargo through the Port of Mombasa.

Focus CFS is a Container Freight Station: the point where containerised cargo leaves the port, is verified and cleared, and is released to move inland. We are an established market leader in handling a wide range of cargo coming through the Port of Mombasa and destined for East Africa.

From movement of containerised cargo and motor vehicle units through to deconsolidated cargo receiving, inventory and distribution, our services are designed to be integrated and tailored to what a customer’s supply chain actually requires — rather than sold as separate transactions.

  • KEBS

  • KPS

Verification and clearance happen where the cargo is standing, which removes an entire movement from the sequence.

Our story

Built around reliability. Driven by service.

Two documented points, and the distance between them. We publish only the milestones we can evidence — the previous site’s timeline turned out to be theme demo content, not company history.

Operating philosophy

Our values

Six things we hold ourselves to.

Taken from the company's own corporate brochure, not written for a website.

Customer focus

Understanding what the customer's supply chain actually requires, and building the service around it.

Integrity

Cargo, documentation and information handled honestly, every time.

Initiative

Identifying and developing opportunities that improve how customers move cargo.

Value to the customer

Service measured by what it is worth to the customer, not by what it costs to provide.

Teamwork

We work as a team to strengthen our position and raise our standard of service.

People development

Training, career development and shared progress for the people who run the station.

Our people

The station is run by the people in it.

Cargo handling is not automated work. Gates are manned rather than automatic, verification is carried out by people, and the motor vehicle terminal is run by a team assigned specifically to it.

Focus CFS commits to training, career development and shared progress as a stated human resources principle. Employees are trained on their health and safety responsibilities and held accountable for working in a way that safeguards themselves, their colleagues, customers, contractors and the public.

Cargo we see most

Described by cargo type rather than by client name — Focus CFS does not publish its customer list.

Work with us

Motor vehicle importers

Corporate fleets and private importers clearing units through the car terminal.

Project and energy cargo

Fabricated structures, plant and heavy equipment requiring route and permit planning.

Consolidators and clearing agents

Groupage containers deconsolidated into LCL cargo for multiple consignees.

Why Focus CFS

Six reasons cargo is nominated here.

Not claims about service quality — specifics about where the station is, how it is laid out, and who is on site.

Strategic location

At Kipevu, Changamwe — minutes from the Port of Mombasa, on the road corridor cargo already takes inland.

One-stop clearance

KRA, KEBS and Kenya Police are located within the facility, so verification happens where the cargo is.

Secure operations

A walled and electric-fenced perimeter, manned gates and CCTV surveillance covering cargo movement.

Segregated infrastructure

Container storage, vehicle storage and covered warehousing are separate areas, not shared ground.

Experienced team

A workforce that has handled cargo through Mombasa since 2008, including a team dedicated to the car terminal.

Regional gateway

Cargo handled at Focus CFS is destined for Kenya and the wider East African region beyond it.
