Careers

Work where the cargo actually moves.

Focus CFS runs a working cargo station at Kipevu. The people here handle containers, vehicles and project cargo through one of East Africa's busiest ports.

Why Focus CFS

Taken from the company's own human resources and HSE policies, not from a recruitment brochure.

What the company commits to.

Training and career development, safety as a condition of the job, and recognition tied to performance — stated principles rather than perks.

Training and career development

The company commits to training, career development and shared progress as a stated human resources principle, not an afterthought.

Safety is a condition of the job

Employees are trained on their health and safety responsibilities and held accountable for working in a way that safeguards themselves, their colleagues and everyone on site.

A team that works as a team

Teamwork is one of the company's stated values — strengthening our position and raising the standard of service together.

Recognition and reward

Human resources systems support performance through competitive positioning, appropriate assessment, and recognition and reward mechanisms.

Life at the station

Cargo handling is not automated work.

Gates are manned rather than automatic, verification is carried out by people, and the motor vehicle terminal is run by a team assigned specifically to it. Employees are trained on their health and safety responsibilities and held accountable for working in a way that safeguards themselves, their colleagues, customers, contractors and the public.
